Final Moving Elements



1: By having the building itself move, the spaces are better able to adapt to their occupants' needs, connecting to surrounding buildings and sheltering/maximising sunlight in the courtyard below.




2: The movement of the honeycomb railings not only creates dynamic architecture but shades/protects people using the staircase.

Theory:

Buildings can be flexible in the diverse functions/uses and configurations of spaces, adapting themselves depending on the user's needs. The result is smaller, more efficient architecture that is both 'flexible' and 'connected' in essence and purpose.
